Since suffering from an ovarian abscess at age 17 and undergoing bi-lateral fallopian tube removal when I was 22, I knew my future fertility status would be uncertain. IVF would be the only way I could conceive, and this weighed on me heavily throughout my younger years and made me very aware of needing to improve my chances throughout that process. Having suffered from other chronic health issues for as long as I can remember, my journey with Nutritional Therapy and Functional Medicine started when I was a teenager as I set out to try and heal myself. I became fascinated with everything to do with diet and lifestyle, and knew that I wanted to be able to help others in the way that my own practitioner had helped me.
Later on, in a much healthier place and in a good position to support myself through IVF, I realised that fertility was where I really wanted to focus my efforts as a practitioner. I want to support couples on their fertility journey to improve pregnancy outcomes, making them feel less alone and providing answers where “unexplained infertility” has been the dominant narrative in their journey thus far. By using nutrition and lifestyle changes, alongside the most up-to-date functional testing, I hope to bring about positive outcomes during fertility treatment or on a natural fertility journey. A personalised approach, tailored to each couple.
